LEDiL introduces a new addition to its HB-IP-2X6 module range. The new HB-IP-2X6-O oval light distribution and highly efficient design is optimized especially for illumination of high racks and warehouse aisles. The HB-IP-2X6-O module features the standard IP-2X6 footprint and has an integrated silicone gasket which provides protection from dirt and water up to IP67.

LEDiL’s new addition to the FLARE family is FLARE-MAXI-T, low pole street lighting optic suitable for roads with bridge railings or smaller walking roads where mounting is below eye level. STRADA-SQ-T3B is a special version of LEDiL’s SQ-T3 optic designed to block the backwards directed light. This house-side light is sometimes causing unwanted illumination and glare, especially in confined road areas found in city centers.
LEDiL’s STRADA-SQ-T3B has IESNA Type III Medium beam pattern suitable for most of the road classes required in residential areas and city centers. The latest addition to the FLORENCE-1R family is the FLORENCE-1R-UP with a wide batwing type beam designed especially for uplighting and indirect illumination. The balanced wide batwing type beam throws indirect light back to the room and can be used as a standalone lighting solution or combined with downward direct lighting.
FLORENCE-1R-UP can be combined with Z60 or Z90 to achieve any office lighting light distribution requirement and easily adjust the direct light output. LISA2 LENSES PROVIDE THE FOCUS IN MARULALED’S COOLTUBE™ TECHNOLOGY
Control is what it’s all about with MarulaLED’s patent-pending* CoolTube™ technology. This innovative line of light engines, designed for integration into OEM partners’ luminaires, offers users the ability to control color temperature and beam angle by adjusting the current supplied to specific LEDs. Control of heat, however, is what makes the design truly “cool”. CoolTube™ technology allows the end user to safely position the luminaire to the most useable position, while eliminating bulky heat sinks and metal-clad PCBs. This makes the product ideal for use in restaurants, hotels, workstations, recreational vehicles; in fact, wherever safe contact with the luminaire can be imagined.
Beam control in MarulaLED’s Low Bay Module is optimized by balancing current flow to LEDs mated with LEDiL’s LISA2-M (medium) and LISA2-WW (very wide) secondary optics. MarulaLED’s LE32 module, on the other hand, promotes control of color temperature by the adjustment of power to half of the LEDs. The sixteen inner LEDs used in the LE32 module are a warmer color temperature than the remaining LEDs. This module uses 32 of LEDiL’s LISA2-M medium beam TIR lens.
The LISA2 series of lenses, measuring less than 10 mm in diameter and less than 7 mm tall, achieves over 90 % light transmission efficiency through superior design and superior material. The TIR lens is engineered to exacting tolerances and molded from high-quality acrylic (PMMA), which offers outstanding transmission efficiency and is virtually impervious to UV radiation. Each lens is mounted in a molded polycarbonate (PC) housing designed for alignment to a specific LED, providing precise location of the lens at the ideal focal point for each qualified brand or style of LED. While the lens housing is rated for use at 115 ⁰C, the cool operation of the light engine means that the housing, which attaches to the PCB by means of locating pins or optional mounting clips, will undoubtedly maintain its physical integrity over the usable life of the luminaire.

LISA2-R – 9.9 MM DIAMETER REFLECTOR OPTIMIZED FOR A WIDE RANGE OF LIGHTING CLASS LEDS
LEDiL announces the release of the new LISA2-R-PIN reflector, measuring just 9.9 mm diameter and 6.5 mm tall. This tiny reflector differs from other reflectors presently available by providing an even, homogeneous and aesthetically pleasing beam with a diffuse cut-off. The new LISA2-R supports a wide variety of single-die LEDs offered by the leading LED vendors, including Cree, Philips Lumileds, Osram, Nichia, Seoul and Sharp. LISA2-R produces a beam angle of 78⁰ to 86⁰ FWHM (depending on LED used) without the shadow and hot spots created by LEDs used without secondary optics. Almost 90 % light intensity is available at 66⁰ full beam width. The small size permits dense population of LEDs for maximum light output in a space-constrained area.
The nearly square-wave beam angle produced by LISA2-R is ideal for general lighting of smaller spaces with minimum glare or hot-spots, or for casting a gentle-glow of energy efficient LED light in small display cabinets or for interior mood or effect lighting. The small size and inherent cool-to-the-touch benefit of LED technology facilitates the design of low-profile fixtures used in residential under-cabinet applications, in cove lighting, or to light storage compartments in emergency vehicles.
The impact-resistant polycarbonate used to manufacture the reflector is of a special, highly-reflective grade that does not require metallization to achieve peak performance of up to 92 % efficiency. The housing contains integrally molded location pins for precise location over the LED and the location pins can also be fastened to the PCB with an approved secondary adhesive. The material is RoHS compliant, rated for use up to 115 ⁰C and meets UL 94 V-2 flammability rating.
LEDiL announces the addition of JULIA-A lenses to its already expansive range of precision-engineered optics. JULIA-A is a rotationally symmetrical lens that produces batwing light emission pattern, which allows LEDs such as Cree’s XP Series or Philips Lumileds’ Rebel and Rebel-ES Series, to achieve over 90 % uniformity on display surfaces 50-100 mm from the PCB. Since these and other similar LEDs are inherently point-sources of light, JULIA-A lenses enable the LEDs to be used in a wide-variety of backlighting applications.
Typical applications include backlight roadway signage and channel letters, architectural effect lighting, under-cabinet and cove lighting, as well as museum and display lights. Other enabled applications include 360⁰ warning beacons, backlighting of emergency lights and exit signs, and interior mood lighting on vehicles such as buses, rail coach cars and commercial aircraft.
JULIA-A achieves light distribution with greater than 90 % uniformity when directed to a parallel surface located between 50 mm and 100 mm from the PCB. Recommended LED spacing is 100 mm. The lens is less than 19 mm in diameter and only 4.66 mm tall (4.81 mm with optional tape). Precise mounting is ensured by the addition of two 0.63 mm mounting pins and the product is available with optional automotive-grade polyurethane foam mounting tape for easy and reliable installation. RITA-A – ASYMMETRIC REFLECTOR FAMILY CONCENTRATES LIGHT PRECISELY WHERE NEEDED
LEDiL announces its latest product addition, the RITA-A reflector family, incorporating a unique optical design that further extends LEDiL’s asymmetric secondary optic expertise for lighting class LEDs. Currently qualified LEDs include Cree’s XLamp® LEDs and Philips Lumileds LUXEON® Rebel and LUXEON® M LEDs. The offset design of this 17.1 mm tall reflector (17.3 mm height with optional pre-installed mounting tape) neatly projects a rectangular beam of energy-efficient LED light with peak intensity in a forward offset 80⁰ from the solid-state light source. The 28.4 mm x 36 mm reflector cup is mounted to a 22 mm base.
LEDiL’s designers envision indoor use of RITA-A mounted to provide task and application lighting, as well as hallway or accent lighting. Lighting of conference room tables and workspaces is also possible with RITA-A. Works of art or museum pieces are easily illuminated without the need to tilt the lamp body and the reflector is easily rotated to provide extra accent where needed. RITA-A can be mounted side-by-side to evenly illuminate long walls with minimal hot-spots or shadowing. Outdoor applications include residential lamps used in urban areas or for lighting stairwells in parking garages.
