Project
Producing the world’s most sustainable exterior light by reducing the amount of embodied carbon in order to achieve the highest possible level of circularity and energy efficiency is quite a target to set. Yet this was exactly the goal developers at TRT Lighting Ltd set themselves when designing the Oaken, the company’s latest amenity and street lighting luminaire.
Solution
The Oaken represents a ground-breaking approach to sustainability in amenity and street lighting, achieving the highest published score of 3.1 under the esteemed LIA/CIBSE certification scheme TSD-012. Redefining the benchmarks of sustainability and crafted with a commitment to environmental responsibility, each component has been carefully selected to ensure minimal ecological impact throughout its lifecycle.
TRT Lighting chose six different STRADA-IP-24 lenses and six different STRADA-IP-2X6 lenses to ensure a multitude of lighting applications can be offered across the Oaken family.
Benefits
Using LEDiL’s ingress protected and highly efficient lenses in LED luminaires significantly enhances luminaire efficacy by maximising light output.
